The U.S., its allies, and Iran announced that they are close to reaching a comprehensive agreement on Iran's nuclear program, thus averting a disastrous war of choice in the Middle East. But they need a bit more time to work out the details.

Click here to send an email from RootsAction.org and a broad coalition telling your U.S. Senators: No new sanctions on Iran. Let diplomacy work.

The United States is facing a critical choice in its negotiations with Iran. The chance represented by the P5+1 talks is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to peacefully resolve one of this country's oldest diplomatic impasses.

If Congress kills the negotiations by imposing new sanctions or unworkable terms for a final agreement, Iran will unfreeze its nuclear energy program, and voices will grow louder among those eager for the United States to fight yet another war in the Middle East.

The way to avoid that awful outcome is to let diplomacy work!
